There has been a Methodist church in Castle Donington since the earliest days of Methodism in the 18th century. The present church is a grade 2 listed building and dates back to the early 20th century.
Today Castle Donington Methodist Church welcomes christians of all ages for worship and community. The church is also an integral part of Castle Donington community being an important focal point for the yearly May Market and Christmas carol services. The yearly candle-lit carol service is an especially popular event.
During the week the church host the Grapevine cafe, a popular and informal meeting venue where you can chat over tea and cake. This occurs every Thurday between 9.00 am and 12.00 p.m during school term times. There are also men's and women's fellowship groups,.
Other events include CAMEO which are special evening events based around a theme, such as St Valentine's day or Chinese New Year, and Messy Church which is an informal childrens activity session run jointly with St Edward's CofE church.
